Founded in 2019, Meublation is a student-run project aiming to foster a circular economy on the campus of HEC Paris. In 2021, Esp’R, the green club of HEC Paris, has picked up the torch!

The project was born from a simple yet disturbing observation: each year, around 7 tons of reusable furniture and appliances were thrown away by students who were leaving campus and did not know what to do with the stuff they somehow could not bring with them. 

What a waste we thought! We realised that, by facilitating sales of furniture between outgoing and incoming students, and by providing a storage solution to students leaving campus for a short while, we could drastically reduce the amount of furniture waste AND offer a cheap way for students to furnish their rooms. A win-win for the HEC community and the planet. 

A few years later, Meublation scaled up with a new service: the storage. The goal was simple: provide a convenient solution for students to store their items on campus while they are home for a long period of time. 

This year Meublation has the project to scale up again by creating a rental service. Keep tune for further advancements.
